I slept on this show at the beginning... I liked it but it conflicted with another show I watch so I kept missing it. But now I DVR it and have been following season 2. Lemme just say WOW! The secret revealed last night is a doozy!
Anyone else watch this show?

Sorry for the late response sapphy, but this is one show I never miss., but since I have been away from home I have not seen it in 3 weeks. When I get home I'll catch up. Anyway I looove this show. The court drama is intense and the "at home" drama is a mess. I can't wait to catch up. |

Cam, it's about a woman (played by Julianna Margolies) who is married to a former state's attorney (Christopher Noth) who got caught up in a cheating/sex tape scandal with someone other than his woman. So the show started out with the scandal, her humiliation and trying to move on with her life. She had been a lawyer but gave up her career to be a wife and mother. Of course every where she went people would point and stare or be talking about how she could stick by her husband and then hush up when she walked by. Christopher Noth went to jail but is now back at home with an ankle bracelet. He's running again though. During all of this Julianna has got back into the swing of things and has a sucessful law career so the show focuses mainly on the legal cases and weaves that in with the campaign and dirty politics.
I really thought I would hate the show when it first came on because I felt like it was gonna portray this sad, cheated on woman like woe is me. But it's actually very good. The cases are like any other law show and the characters are really good. They also bring in guest appearances by folks like America Ferrara, Michael J Fox, Rita Wilson, etc.
Juicy twists and turns, characters and plots include:
Kalinda - the Indian hottie that does the firms research and finds ways to mess over whoever they're going against. She's all mysterious, looks nice but is straight gangsta. We don't know her past, but that's kind of coming to light in a juicy way this season. She's a go getter and does whatever it takes (sleep with a woman, sleep with a man, beat someone with a baseball bat, etc.) to get what she wants.
Julianna's boss is her ex flame from college. Lot's of sexual tension her. They tried to make a go of it, but it never happend because she's married. Her boss left her a message on the answering machine professing his love, but she never got it because her husband's campaign manager deleted it. All she knows is there was a message.
Firm takeover, folks switching sides, playing games and pushing Michael Ealy out.
Dirty politics, Peter (Julianna's hubby) just leaked information about his nemesis so he had drop out of the race. Now he's only got to deal with Anika Noni Rose who looks nice but plays dirty.
Tuesday night's at 10 Camipoo... Be there or be square. We're in season two but you can watch a few older episodes on demand or netflicks if you have it.
It looks like this most juicy, scandalous story line is going to be drawn out a bit, at least until the season finale. I can't wait!

I love the Good Wife.. Its one of the smartest written show on tv.
That bombshell was mouth dropping.. I knew she was shady but I didn't know it was THAT shady.

Yay, Reign!! I'm glad someone else is watching so we can chat about it. Yeah I had no idea what skeletons were in Kalinda's closet. The fact that she's played it cool for so long is a trip. You can tell she has a guilty conscious or is at least afraid of the fall out.

Yay, BH. Me too! I didn't watch because it competed with another show (and that was pre-dvr or learning how to set it lol) but I would catch up on demand. I'm sure I missed a few episodes in season one, but I'll go back and watch those soon.

I don't know how I feel about last night's episode.. seemed like a build up for an explosion next week... I find it interesting how they are beginning to build Peter up as the villian.. it was just a bad husband at first but after this episode I think we are about to see another side... I'll keep watching

Sorry OS, I'm just seeing this. I actually don't watch Hawthorne. I gave the first episode a shot and wasn't really feeling it. But I hear it's a great show. Some folks I know that watch it have said this most recent season is getting a bit different though. Do you watch?

Yeah sapphy, I am watching it faithfully. Be careful how you set your DVR. sometimes it gets overlapped bu amazing Race. You have to record, GW, CSI Miami and the news and maybe sports with Babe. I DO NOT TRUST CAREY!!!! he is such a punk. |
