Could you ever perceive a situation on a local or national level that would make you not want to be associated with your org? Not necessarily talking a formal denouncement but may you take the tags off the ride or stop identifying yourself as an XYZ? At least in certain circles?

anything that appeared to directly fly in the face of my religious beliefs. Such as "National Prayer to Minerva Day" or some BS like that. And knowing me, I wouldn't stop repping so much as cause a ruckus within the org to have such a thing C&D'd.

I couldn't. Well, at least under the most normal of circumstances......
I've seen so many GREAT and truly amazing things from my Fraternity on a National/International level over the years, that it would be quite difficult to throw it all away, just because of some decisions within the Fraternity that I didn't like. After all, it's hard to throw away 105 years of excellence.
That being said, it would have to be something really drastic. I mean, REALLY DRASTIC!! I do agree with Leja with regards to my Religious beliefs. I mean, if there was a drastic (and sweeping) change in philosophy (from the top-down) and we began to take on Satanic beliefs and practices.....that would certainly be cause to reconsider things.
Other than that, it would have to be a long, slow, downward spiral (over a period of many years) that was in direct contrast to what the Fraternity stands for (i.e. lower and lower standards, lack of focus on community affairs, constant criminal activity, etc), that would cause me to walk away.....

As a Spring 07 Grad initiate, I've come to realize what defines one org, often defines all (at least in a negative sense). So when an org comes to the public eye for hazing, or other matters, people in my life invariably state "that's why I don't mess with that greek nonsense".
So for me, the answer is not really. I feel I define Iota, not the other way around.

I seriously doubt anything could shake me from OES. My org is beyond strict so there is no room for waywardness!

I think the organization will understand especially if you broke them off. REAL TYPE Actually, if I were super rich, I would sponsor $500,000 towards the undergraduate intake of students with GPAs of 3.5 or higher. I would also spend another $500,000 trying to get in as many prominent members in grad chapters as well. I think that would really highlight the frat in a positive light.
