Any greeks or aspirants aspire to be an elected official in your org? For example, regional director, international president, supreme something or other?
Do you think the rise of Internet and social networking will hinder a lot of people on their pursuits?

I wanted to be, but after three years of being on the exce board of my chapter. Being just a member would be just fine with me.
After I get a better handle on this Chapter thing I'd like to branch out.

No at this time I am just trying to get in my org of choice. I will have to let my work speak for itself and then maybe just maybe I can move on up!

I know a law degree can open so many doors plus with it I could be a practicing attorney, a professor or work in a companies legal department. I enjoy working with people on major events in there life while being empathetic and objective. I enjoy educating people about choices. I do a little bit of this currently as a mediator but practicing law is an entirely different ball game.

Early on I thought i was one day going to be National President. Then I realized how much time it took just to be an involved member let alone an elected leader at the various levels. I had regional responsibilities but that's where I tapped out.
Will it hinder a lot? No, I don't think so. I don't think the people who successfully navigate through the process tend to be the same ones sexting and posting wild stuff on websites.
