Unfortunately I'm not as excited as I was yesterday. My friend who's living in France blabbed the storyline already. I was so mad at him. lol

My friends husband has the season on DVD already. Gotta love that. LOL! But it was pretty good. Didn't know Terrence J had acting chops.

I don't like Kelly's attitude or character right now. I do think she and Jason will get back together.
TT should have kicked Malik in the head.
Terrance J actually did a pretty good job.

You right Cam Malik should've got hit but something tells me that TT will tell the owner that Malik is hittin' his wife.

Thoughts
1) Happy the show is back.. the fact that for once we chose how we wanted to be entertained .. we didn't just sit back and let the show fade away like so many other black tv shows...
2) ... with that being said the show was hella extra i wasn't too happy with the drama heavy opening... There should have been more comedy
3) The fact that they are filming in Atlanta throws me off... So you just gon walk through Atlantic Station and we are suppose to pretend its San Diego
4) The acting seemed forced but I chalked that up to them not playing the characters for two years...
5) Megan "mmmm-mmm-mmmm" Goode
6) I would have kicked Malik Arse
7) I'm not feeling Jason, Kelly, nor the new Brit Brat...

I don't think TT will rat Malik out. Remember the club owner walked pass when TT said Malik was smashing the boss' wife. If it comes out that way, Malik might blame TT, when actually someone else ratted him out.

Ok, leggo:
Dr. Melanie Burnett-Davis aka Med School aka Girl Melanie:
Really? You swabbed the baby? LOL!! I laughed so hard at that. And then the man told her he didn't wanna know. She says ok and let the cat out of the bag in the same breath. She could have fixed it. But noooooo. "It was Sunbeam stuff." FOOH! Some people applaud what she did but to me it reeked of desperation and insecurity.
Derwin "Ding Dong" Davis:
He's da man, huh? Ok, I can dig dat. Now, about this thing with the baby, I'm not an advocate of domestic violence, but if he wanna "YAH, TRICK" Girl Melanie (re: Madea's Big Happy Family) I understand. Oh yea, him so cute when him crying. Awwww
Kelly "Mama Said Knock You Out" Pitts:
WTH has she done to herself? She looks so trashy. LOL!!! And that lil show of hers SCREAMS bitter. We all know she wants Jason back. Stop lying to yourself, Kelly.
Jason "Use A Coupon" Pitts:
He's getting on my nerves with this contract thing. Really. Do something and do it fast. Good looks on the Kelly thing though. Loved how he flipped the script on her show.
Brittany Pitts aka Brit Brat aka Brit Pitt:
Not understanding why people felt she was over the top. She's a spoiled little rich kid whose parents have divorced and she's acting out. Makes sense to me.
Tasha "Pow Pow Pow" Mack:
Since getting knocked out, Tasha seems to have lost her edge. lol. She's still working magic, though, because she's the one that put Derwin out there like that. This cougar thing is funny to me. She trying to be all hard about it. Girl, stop!! That young peter got you sprung. Speaking of which, I was a bit surprised with his performance because he SUCKED in Stomp the Yard 2 (which wasn't really hard to do).
Malik "Fody Million" Wright:
WTF are you thinking? Malik was actually my 2nd fave character in the first 3 seasons. I'm not liking the turn he took this go around. I'm sure it sucks to have Derwin steal his shine and later getting hurt, but damn. Tee Tee was ya boy. He ALWAYS and seems to STILL have your back even though he's not working for you. So what you bought the damn truck. It's the least you could do. But banging his girl? Really? and that house is too damn bug. lol
Tee Tee:
Whoop that trick!! No, for real though, I can see Tee Tee on some serious "get back" type ish. He sitting here coming through for this fool time after time only to get stabbed in the back with a machete. Poor Tee Tee. I'm anxious to see this character's development.
Janae:
i'm still trying to figure you out. give me a minute.

Melanie doesn't get finer and finer with age... They were awkward kids but a couple of "mango seasons" did them right!

LOL!!!. Girl Melanie need a new stylist. Her face is too long for that hair, the color washes her out. She doesn't look like she's a part of that life. She looks like she's TRYING to be a part of that life. Shorter and darker will do wonders for her appearance. She's doing a tad bit better clothingwise, but that white dress.... nah.
Tasha looks...well, old. lol
Derwin looks like he's grown up. Mama likes!!
Jason has always been a lil cutie to me
Kelly, shoot, I'm still laughing at Duran Duran hair
Malik looks like he need to go to the clinic or something
Janae was actually kinda cute
and Tee Tee reminds me of a cartoon. I just can't put my finger on which one

I know i'm in the minority but I was always #teamDrew over teamMelanie
I never faulted Derwin for cheating.... now Megan is on there acting like a slut... YES!! I love the Game... they make the pretty chicks "HANKS" (hoe/skank hybrids)

I share most of you guys' sentiments. I don't mind that it was drama-heavy as opposed to comedy-heavy; I think we needed that for the season opener. Terrance J did great; and his lil body was talkin about something.
I think they did a fantastic job developing Malik's character. That kinda self-destructive "the rules don't apply to me" behavior is exactly how veteran football players act. They developed the hell out of Kelly's character too. She's so Basketball wives. Let's be clear, I don't necessarily care for how either of them have turned out, but I think it was a very realistic progression. Brit Brat aged too much. She had her 6th birthday party 2 years ago in the finale. She appears to be a tween now. I sorta feel like we don't need Jason anymore. Each one of his scenes seemed contrived. He was "guest hosting" the Benched show (although he is still on the Sabers roster), then he crashed Kelly's show, and was @ Malik's party hating about the silly Madden curse...his character may have played all the way out at this point. absolutely HATE that Sheree was in the episode. I could've stood to see Janay's reaction to Derwin asking whether DJ was his.
I understand why they've changed Melanie's look...she's an NFL wife now. Got it. That was also a clever little explanation for why she hasn't done her residency. She's the same neurotic jawn she's always been. Why couldn't her character have matured @ all over the past 2 years?

See I was thinking that she did mature.. for the first 5 minutes it was Melanie the football wife but after talking to Tasha and Kelly she started down that path again..... and well... you saw what happened...

See I was thinking that she did mature.. for the first 5 minutes it was Melanie the football wife but after talking to Tasha and Kelly she started down that path again..... and well... you saw what happened... to me, she regressed. She seemed so mature in the finale when she let Derwin go to the hospital instead of finishing the vows. She kinda shrugged and just seemed like she had made peace with the whole idea. Now out of the clear blue sky, she's swabbing cheeks and carrying on? If the Melanie we saw in 2009 had 2 years to grow and mature, she wouldn't have done that; she'd be even more comfortable with DJ's existence. However, I do see why she had to lie when she found out the truth. Tasha gave her excellent advice (because apparently, even she has matured). I also don't see why Mel called Kelly, though. I mean, what is the nature of their relationship now?

Well BET did put some money into upgrading the sets. (that's good).
Melanie and Janae are both bitter black women. In both cases this will not play out in their favor.
Kelly is a bitter white woman, that is making very obvious she is still in love with Jason.
Jason hasn't changed. I really thought at this point, he would have retired.
Malik is definately heading down the path of destruction...
I am not happy and how TT has changed. He has lost his funny in my opinion.

hey I said she was mature for 5 minutes...lol.. and also after 2 years Kelly and Tasha still aren't friends... I will agree the continuity is off

thing about it, TT was never funny IMO. He was a super one-dimensional Tyler Perry type character before. Now they tried to give him some lil hopes and dreams and I'm just not buying it.

I thought it was just an extra measure the writers took to remind us of what happened in the finale. Cause they had Kelly spell it all the way out "I'm still mad at you for introducing Jason to another woman...a black one at that!" lol. With all the re-runs we've been watching, it actually slipped my mind that they had beef. I assume it'll become important later why they aren't friends...maybe they'll dedicate an entire episode to the 2 of them burying the hatchet.

LOL at Tyler Perry type of character! Yes, he was very predictable and when he would really let both Tasha and Malik "have it" he would do so in a sublte-silly manner that would initially go over their head.

I think its good that TT is finally getting some balls and stepping out on his own...that was one of the things I hated about the old show - its like he didnt have a life outside of Malik. Now he's actually trying to man up and I like his progression - I just want to see him take it there and beat the crap of out Malik one good time

Observation:
If TT continues to develop on his own, and Malik continues to grow in the direction of the asshole Sun, where does this leave TT? He only existed as Malik's aid. By himself, he's not interesting. Especially since he is not tossing those HILARIOUS one liners Reign mentioned (and that I absolutely loved). He just doesn't fit if he's not helping keep Malik out of trouble.
Prediction: Malik will fall on his ass in a serious way. TT will agree to come back and become a hybrid smartass/business man/assistant. TT was Malik's conscience and after a very anti-Machiavellian game of "Ni**#, apologize", Malik will see that he needs TT in order to stay grounded.
Observation:
Kelly is trying WAY to hard to show that she is over Jason. This is not her personality and it's not sustainable. Brit Brat is way outta orda and this too is unsustainable.
Prediction: In an effort to reconcile this obviously destructive path of his broken family, Jason and Kelly will reconcile and Brit and her teen angst will become the focus of their family trouble. Jason will eventually retire and become a coach. This will allow him to continue his involvement with the team while allowing him to still be cheap (although moreso in a Julius from Everybody Hates Chris style where he just knows what everthing cost as opposed to telling Kelly what she can and cannot buy).
