Couple questions for anyone willing to answer:
1. Hypothetically speaking, how many times after being rejected by your chapter of initiation (of the Org you now belong to) would you have stopped trying? I’m sure everyone’s internal pride mechanism would kick in at some point, right?
2. Would you have just given up on that particular chapter after X amount of rejections and pursued another chapter? (For Undergrads that would mean either transferring schools or just waiting to try Grad later)
3. Or would the numerous rejections have turned you off or made you give up on your Org completely to peek at another Org that was willing to accept you?
4. If you answered “No” to number 3 - Would you ultimately be content not belonging to a Greek Org if you couldn’t find a way into your original Org of choice after several attempts (on both the undergrad and grad level)?
Just bored at work and throwing something out there for discussion.

If I still do not get in, (which has happened) I would try the chapter again, or another one, if I could no longer try that chapter. I will NEVER look at another organizations. All the other three sororities have tried to get me, but I am sticking out for the organization of my interest.

1. Hypothetically speaking, how many times after being rejected by your chapter of initiation (of the Org you now belong to) would you have stopped trying? I’m sure everyone’s internal pride mechanism would kick in at some point, right? 2 rejections. One time can be due to extenuating factors. The second time is a blackball.
2. Would you have just given up on that particular chapter after X amount of rejections and pursued another chapter? (For Undergrads that would mean either transferring schools or just waiting to try Grad later) Not an option for us unless you move to a different area.
3. Or would the numerous rejections have turned you off or made you give up on your Org completely to peek at another Org that was willing to accept you? There was no second option. Delta or nothing as far as D9 went but I would still be affiliated with some community groups.
4. If you answered “No” to number 3 - Would you ultimately be content not belonging to a Greek Org if you couldn’t find a way into your original Org of choice after several attempts (on both the undergrad and grad level)? Yep. I'd probably not have the inner circle I have and that would suck but I think my life overall would be pretty much the same.

Even though we do not have a residency clause, folks from chapters talk, so in many cases if one chapter rejects the person its very likely the next one will do the same. (their are some exceptions to that rule)
