I was going to create a thread to jab Alabama fans about their EMBARRASSING loss to Auburn during the Iron Bowl last Friday but I decided against it.
I do want to know how you guys feel about the BCS Bowls this year. Is Boise State done? Does LSU play in one of the big BCS Bowl games?

Boise State & LSU are done are far as BCS bowls go. Arkansas should essentially replace LSU in whatever BCS bowl they were headed too.
Too bad for Boise State....it just keeps going downhill for them.

I wanted Boise to stay in it, because I hate the BCS and I root for any sort of chaos every year. In a perfect world, I would like to see 4 undefeated teams standing at the end. Let them figure it out then lol.
For some reason, I still don't believe in Oregon. I don't care how many uniforms they have. It'll be interesting though when these bowl matchups shake out.

Things are looking up for TCU though... especially with them moving to the Big East. At that same time, thats not good for Boise State. I don't like the BCS either, far too bias for me.

Oregon has 80 different combinations (jersey/pant/helmet) at their disposal.
I feel bad for Boise but I'm glad TCU is still in the hunt. Auburn has proven each week why they're the #1 team...I still don't like them. If tey win it all the season will be forfeited because Cam Newton will be found ineligible for the season.

Boise needs to find a way to join the PAC 10 or some other automatic qualifier conference. The taters' (Boise) I think have actually been screwed the last couple of years and if they had gone undefeated again I think they would have had a good case (at least on paper and by the rules) to play in the championship. It wasn't going to happen - they probably would have given us TCU vs BSU redux but you could at least make a case for it. Can't do it now.
Auburn still has to get past SC and though they should win... I don't know I'm still skeptical. I agree with whoever said they don't believe in Oregon. I don't either. I'm equally skeptical of Auburn. They never should have been down against Bama, and yet they were, and not by a little, Bama was GIVING it to 'em. If they hadn't suffered all those injuries - does Auburn pull it out? Honestly I don't think they do.
But history will record that they did, and if they manage to get past SC, it will be Auburn vs. Oregon 2 teams that I am skeptical on, but 2 teams (who on paper) deserve the chance to slug it out.

So after Beating 'cocks and Spankin' Beavers this weekend, Auburn and Oregon will play for the National Championship in January! (sorry, Cold...LOL)
Interestingly enough, the state of Alabama has the opportunity to bring home both the National Championship AND the Heisman Trophy two years in a row.
My son, who was born in Alabama, roots for any Alabama team so he is happy.
Arkansas will go to the Sugar Bowl and play Ohio State. I actually wanted to go to that game but the best available tickets are $133 and are at the top of the Superdome. I'd rather watch it on TV.

Is it me or are there just too damned m any bowl games? Theres now 70 bowl games and all you have to do is be 6-5 to go to a bowl game. Theres a Pinstripe Bowl, wth? and some of the lamest names on the friggin thing. Im gonna need them to slow it down on the bowl creation. Everyones going to one. How about cut out all these friggin bowls and add just one extra game in a playoff format?

I listened to an argument that although schools make money from the bowl games, more money could be made and kept by the schools if they had a playoff system.
The multitude of bowl games is starting to remind me of the magnet school phenomenon of the early 90's.

and you barely have to break even to get into one. It's totally out of control but for the schools getting paid, they'll fight to the end to keep the bogus BCS in place.

Please submit the argument....it sounds interesting. I read something similar about a year ago...I'll see if I can find it. Someone had some projections that showed how a playoff system would make even more money for the schools than the current BCS.

For those of you counting Oregon out.....DON'T! The Ducks are for real!! I'm not an Auburn fan, but since the Tide can't repeat (which I knew they would not....too tough to do in the SEC) I'd just as soon see Auburn win it. Besides, they haven't won a NC in over half a century (you're still my boy Cam :-) )
Back to Oregon....beware of that Quack Attack! Neither team has a defense worth .75 so the final will likely be 70-69. But they score points like I go to the fridge for a bottle of water....very easily and quickly! Auburn is bigger, but I think the Ducks are quicker. Should be lots of offense, and my Alabama pride has me pulling for the Tigers. They need to win it this year because that WHOLE team will be gone next season, including Cam. So, I'll say something I've NEVER said before, and likely won't say again after Jan. 10.....WAR damn EAGLE! LOL!!

The SEC East was really bad this year...but the SEC West might have been the best ever. 'Bama is dominating Michigan State, Mississippi State is killing Michigan, and it will be interesting to see what Arkansas does against Ohio State. Looks like Florida might hang on to beat Penn State. I don't think the Big 10 particulary enjoys these matchups against the SEC lol.

They had ESPN commentators saying that that they might be the worst conference in college football. LOLOL!!! The Ohio State University is the Big 10's only hope and I'm praying that my Razorbacks take care of business by beating the Buckeyes.

If Mizzou had beat Iowa (and they should have) that would have really put the final nail in the coffin for the big 10.
I like Mark Richt when he was at FSU as offensive coord but his most recent teams at Georgia have looked down right BAD!
I'm looking forward to Arkansas beating OSU!

The SEC is the Truth.....simply put. Yes the Big TEN IS the worst Comfr. lol. Can they merge with another comfr or something lolo. They got to HATE playing against a SEC team.
WelP!! This is going to hurt me when I say this but I'm rooting for Auburn....just because.

damn T. Pryor playing like a Junior who is not gonna risk sitting on the bench next year for 5 games. If he keeps playing like he is tonight for the rest of the game.... he's probably gonna enter the draft. I can see him being taken behind Andrew Luck, Jake Locker and Cam Newton.

Razorbacks laid an egg. They receivers couldn't catch a cold and then Mallet gives away the gift from the defense.....
....the Big Ten was playing for its dignity last night. They were also playing for the dignity of the Big 10. It was a good game and while i'm PISSED that my Razorbacks lost, I'm glad Ohio State got over their hump.
