What is the state of the NBA? David Stern has asserted that the league is losing money and that player salaries have to come down 750-800 million dollars? Even talking about contraction of the league and hard salary caps? Do you believe that?
Do you think anyone will bring up the Tim Donaghy scandal during negotiations of the Collective Bargaining Agreement? Weigh in sports fans

they get paid too much anyway. Good and services Chal... goods and services. Doesn't the "Free Market" determine what is too much and too little compensation?

I don't care what the Free Market determines. If it were up to me, (and fortunately for them it isn't) these $million+ deals would not exist.

I realized these mofo made too much money when Allen Houston was being paid 20 mil per year for years without even stepping on the court. But I'm all for a hard cap...I would like to see some professional parity. One of the reason why I prefer the NFL over the NBA.

Why would you negate their ability to earn millions? They generate millions... why shouldn't their salary reflect that?

I just don't see it The fact that people are willing to pay great amounts of money for what they do justifies the amount they make. As far as the action on the court, I think play in the NBA is better than it has been since the early late 80s, early 90s, which was a golden era in the NBA. The late 90s and early 2000s were HOT GARBAGE in terms of game play. The league is a little better now that it no longer accepts kids fresh out of high school.

I just don't see it Damie already said it, they generate billions therefor most of their salaries reflect millions. Its still a job for them, they have to be the best at what they do....and just like everyone else, if your the best at what you do then you'll be paid some serious money. It should be mentioned that not all professional athletes make millions...
