.....but Boise State? Are you fucking serious?! Again... with a playoff system - none of this is even an issue. Hell there are polls that still have SC behind Bama and they JUST beat them. 8 team playoff settles this. I don't even LIKE Bama but anyone who feels like 1 loss should disqualify them from defending their championship is CRAZY. It's ONE loss. They play 9 more times, Bama probably wins all 9. And why blame Boise? All they've ever done is beat anyone put in front of them. But alas - no one cares.
DI College Football. The only sport that apparently CAN'T execute a 7 game playoff.

Correction: 'Bama was already going to lose to Auburn....
Also, I agree...the playoff system should be put into D1 football. If Boise State loses any more games they should be taken out of the rankings entirely!
Bama is a true top 5 team and defending champ. The "Ol' Ball Coach" just had Sabans number this day.
W.D.E.!!

I was just reading about this on ESPN.com. The logic that they use for ranking Ohio State so low is STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE? ? so, by that logic, how the hell can you rank Boise State number 1? They play two mediocre teams at best this year. I would have let them slide with the VaTech win, until VT lost to James Madison. I'm all for them getting a chance to prove themselves, however, this system is completely flawed.

damn Alc....so they dont get credit for beating the #10 team in the nation at the time?? How did they know VT was gonna drop the ball.Besides they've already proven they can hang with the big boys....they recruit some serious talent.
I'm still pissed about the LSU-TENN game a week ago....smdh

If Boise loses ONE game this season they will be instantly ranked #45 in the country!! Come on Cam...if Nevada can be ranked in the low teens, Boise state won't fall out the top 25 with a loss.

Nor should they. They are a legitimate Top 10 team. They deserve a chance to prove themselves, just like Alabama (despite the loss) should have a chance to defend their title (unless they lose again)

I'm still pissed about the LSU-TENN game a week ago....smdh I'm personally impressed with Boise State. As Cam stated earlier, they beat whoever is placed in front of them. I'm more or less concerned about the system as a whole, and the logic used to separate them from a team such as Ohio State (and anyone who knows me knows how much of a joke i think they are lol). I just want a friggin' playoff system. I'd rather sit here and argue over the number 9 team being left out than argue over who should be 1, 2 or 3.

Well the argument that the smaller schools deserve more of the pie is bullchit when it comes to college football. See in College Hoops its more of an argument because most mid majors play some good teams throughout the year.
The biggest dynamic to football at any level is staying healthy. Boise State maybe a very good team BUT do they have the depth to grind it out in the SEC, Big 12, Big 10 or ACC. fuck no. That's the problem. If they make it to the championship game whomever they play outside of it being TCU will be banged up for sure. THAT gives them an unfair advantage. If you put in a playoff system I say 16 teams starting Jan 1st. it will show the flaws of Boise St real quick. Now way they have the depth to beat a 2 quality teams in a row. As it stands right now they will be healthy enough to play with anyone on any given Saturday.

True @ VP
To me, it's like allowing a golfer to ride the course instead of walk and then saying that the teams were even.

Bama is still a top 8 team to me. I like Boise St. I feel they could beat Ohio State. I like TCU is a solid top ten team...thank god they're not in the Big XII this year! I Loves Oregon and there 150 different uniform combinations. LSU is the luckiest team in college football and prolly the fastest. Auburn is second as far as luck goes. I'm not sold on them. Oklahoma looked great in one game (FSU) looked so so against the other teams. Nebraska hasn't played anybody but looks great against the sorry teams they've played. Utah could prolly beat haft the teams in the top 10 but there schedule....
If Bobby was still at FSU they would've beat OU (sod game) prolly lost to Miami though
