If I was a preacher of a mega church, I would probably use my authority to gain sexual favors too.
At a church with 25,000 members, more than half are probably women. That gives maybe 14,000 women. Subtract 10,000 for being too old, young, ugly, fat, etc. That leaves about 4,000 chicks. At least 15% are going to be sluts. That leaves 600 broads for me to "spiritually advise". Yeah, I would definitely get caught up in a sexual scandal.
Wouldn't you do the same?
