what, if any unflattering organizational (or chapter) perceptions did you have to overcome in order to seriously pursue your membership? Did you have to make friends with snobs? Pretend to be a homophobe? Overcome ideas about pledge vs. paper? Reconcile the perceived difference between UG vs. G?

I didnt really have any.. my Ug chapter had been inactive, there was only one soror on campus left and she was graduating.. luckily, (kinda..LOL) she was our connection to the prophytes

There were some prophtyes I had to stomach because I felt they were fake, phoney, and snotty. But it was just a few.

Oh, I did let them assume I just had a breast reduction in order to avoid certain "activities"... does that count? I had actually had it years before....LOL they didnt ask, so I didnt tell

All I had to do was pledge. If your chapter required anything other than that, you crossed at the wrong school.

All I had to do was pledge. If your chapter required anything other than that, you crossed at the wrong school.

I didn't have any personally because I landed in a really good chapter but I did have a classmate who wanted to pledge at another school but the Deltas were the drunken sluts of that campus. Had I been on that campus I probably would have done exactly what she did, wait and go grad.
