I bet $100 that dude's mama has a piece of cardstock hanging on her wall simultaneously bearing his name and the name of a Georgia Public Highschool.

For the life of me I don't understand why we insist on making entertainers into role models. Have y'all listened to Waka's lyrics?
You can't flex on me and take my stripes Shawty i'm a real nigga disrespect so icey boys shawty i will deal wit cha drug deala, cap peala, gang banger, street nigga, dope whippa, chain snatcher crime stopper not me patna got caught wit a brick told on ya whole click dats that fuck shit
Why would you care if he voted or got a GED or not? That's like worrying about whether the stripper bouncin her a$$ at the club has a GED or voted. Who cares?

The stripper ain't on 106 and Park talking to kids... He is on 106th and park promoting his "product".
If his voting record is pertinent, they should go ahead and ask him next about bail out and wall street reform.
*Hunches Shoulders*
Why not?
The dude who wrong Bang 4 Life should have as much to say about the national economy as he should about primaries and mid-term elections.

If for nothing - let's do it for the rame reason they do it in professional sports.
The odds of a rapper making it and losing it are nearly identical.
LOL!

The reason they do it for professional sports makes no sense either. Stop trying to pull these bamas out of their lane. I don't want to hear Chad Ochocinco's opinion on the dual behavior of light if he hasn't researched it and doesn't care about it... same thing for Waka. If he hasn't voted or registered to vote... or care about voting... or know anything about it...
...why ask him about it?
If'n Logakal says one mo' thing she's getting smote

Waka Flocka is a positive role model. His lyrics just come across as brash to old folks because they do not understand life in the inner city. Young people understand what struggles he went through and are proud that he is able to make money from his street stories.
I would do the same thing.

Originally I called shenanigans and "negro please" on this post because Waka Flocka grew up in Riverdale. I'm thinking Riverdale definitely isn't greatest place on Earth but it sure isn't what inner city Atlanta used to be. Then again they tore all those projects down and the people all moved (or got moved) to the suburbs so....

I typically refrain from saying this but, "Negus Please!" "do not understand life in the inner city"? Young people don't understand don't understand their own lives much less anyone else or struggle. Even if they are in the midst of struggle, they don't quite get or comprehend it until later. It's called perspective... GTFOHWTB about old(er) folk not understanding. We understand...we understand ignorance. I had a friend in college who was as gangsta and street as anyone you probably have ever HEARD of. He's doing life now but if he hadn't made the decision to go down that road, he would be a PhD somewhere. It's amazing how kids think being hard means being stupid. The really hard and cold folks actually have something to lose. Everybody else is just a lowly, ignorant foot soldier taking orders. I wont hate on Wacka Flocka because he's doing his thing. Just don't attempt to give him any more credibility past his ability to spit booty lyrics over a mediocre beat. He is not a political pundit nor is he a scholar. Quit asking this dude questions that require him to think past the tip of his blunt.
