I just wanted to start this thread to petition prayers for our children..
There was a shooting here in a Lane Bryant store where 5 women were shot execution style. One of the women was my neighbor and the mother of one of my daughters classmates. The little boy is 10 years old and physically challenged and as we can all imagine, the nurturing from is mother was probably more important to him than any other child in his class.
These kids are in the 4th grade and have been in school together since kindergarten. They always made it a point to look out for this young man and take him under their wings in such a protective way that sometimes I would be amazed at the compassion that they showed towards him. I know that their entire class and school is in grief and mourning for this little boy.
So I petition all of OOa to pray for these and all children but especially for this little boy whose mother was so tragically murdered...these are really trying times that we live in...
