LOL @ Reign!
I usually say its a place where a bunch of friends from world come to keep in touch and talk mess. A lot of the people are really friends IRL, some are random strangers nobody likes....
The OOA experience is a needy stepchild of a fairy tail that ended a long while ago. A MB greater than any other. OO was so much an internet envy that we had wars with other boards and eventually our homeland was bombed...leaving few survivors. OOA is the final resting place of the people once known as OO Refugees!

Editorials
It's everything that you can get on t.v. But really what the experience is: a cook-out without the food. You know how black (and Brown folk shout out to Gamma  ) folk get together - it's not just the food - it's the discussion, the stories, the anecdotes, the laughter and the comraderie (did I spell that right)? It's a digital get-together. |

I've actually referred to you guys as a BGLO listserv and a blogsite respectively. Saying "I'm going to New Orleans on business and while I'm there, I'm going to meet up with a sister that I met through my email listserv" sounds slightly less crazy than the alternative. Also, I do like Cam and just say my friend in DC/ATL/VA/LA/TX, etc. It's harder to explain how I know the non-greek folks.

I refer to the board as "some associates" or "I was chatting with a group of friends" I mean thats not a lie...
I would say unlike other MBs and Blogs OOA will not make you feel like you are loosing brain cells... Healthy dialogue but a good dose of coonery to get through the day..

i've never really tried to explain the board, but (depending on who I'm talking to/what I'm talking about) you guys are pretty much - my sources
- a guy / a lady / someone / people i know
- a / some friend / friends
- chick / dude name ... (that's if I know your name and your screen name doesn't sound "realistic)
