I also voluteer with them, (the interview process was crazy, I went through 3 little girls before I found the perfect match!) We like to go to the craft store and make things like plates, paintings, pottery, etc. We also take a cake decorating class. You're gonna love it!

*high fives P10 and looks over her shoulder @ AKAD* yeah, my girl likes photography and reading and inside things, lol.
i wanna get her outside on some bikes or rollerblades or something! lil black girls are always trying to stay out of the sun, lol! i was like that when i was her age. but tell me why she's 10 and taller than me! a damn shame.
i've thought of a longterm project: we're going to make a movie! write a screenplay, make storyboards, film and edit it. some local public access studios let you use their equipment and studio for free. it's gonna be a lot of fun, but i do need a one time small activity to get the ball rolling.

Ok, I will combine the last two items, upcoming e-events and projects, along with joint projects with Beta chapter. We then will discuss new business which will be the date of the next Alpha chapter meeting, and for the Beta chapter decide when their next e-meeting is.
The floor is now open for discussion about e-events.

when's the last time we did some e-mentorship? i'd like to see an e-event where we really concentrate on young girls and their educations.
also, i think we should do some sort of informative event on youth violence, as this issue not only continues to plague our communities, but the number of our youth partaking in violence is steadily growing.
lastly, i think we should do an e-fundraiser for organizations that work with and support e-immigrants. many of immigrants in our own community require assistance with a host of issues, mainly dealing with resettlement. we should do what we can to improve their lives and help them integrate into our society.
....oh and i wouldn't be against an e-party ^_^

The Beta Chapter would also like to expand our current initiatives. I think the Back to School Drive was a success, and we should do another one. Also, I think it would be a good idea to throw a Back to School party, so the people on SH campus can become affiliated with us :-)

i like the e-mentorship idea.
And to the e-sorors doing work with BBBS, that's awesome! I work with a Christian sorority for girls thru my church. We are teaching them about self esteem, inner and outer beauty, etiquette, and grace.
