FYI, lotta people put their step practices on youtube. not to reveal their grandness to the public or their sweatpants swag, but to look at the stroll at home, or practice by themselves at home and refer to it. shrugs.

So instead of just putting it out there, someone took the scary approach and PMed you instead, huh soror, lololol! Based on who sent it to you, whatever they sent to you, coming from that person, figures!  @ Chal, I'mma e-fight you, lol! Julie... I am going take a page from Chal's book and make a list: 1. Shut the phuck up...no one was talking to you; 2. Jump your rachety ass off a cliff; 3. Then, exalt on that. You and IceBraka for that matter, have managed to blow this whole thread out of proportion. As I stated before, this link was not meant to hate on AKA in any way. It was an example of things not to post on Youtube. It just happened to be AKAs. Would you prefer I post some Delta videos of them looking a mess? I'm sure I can find them on Youtube as well. The reason this was titled 'I refuse to believe they are part of D9' is in relation to them seemingly not practicing any discretion by the fact that they would post a video that really does the org no justice, as well as a follow up video featuring people cursing. As your soror stated, yes you can't control what people say and do on videos, but you can control what you put out in public. It's unfortunate and unbecoming that you and whoever else took this as me being catty at AKA. Quite the contrary, it was merely an observation meant to garner feedback on a more broader subject -- of how our orgs are portrayed with all of these new technologies like Youtube...Facebook...etc. Thanks. I'm wondering how you think you can use profanity in one sentence toward someone and turn around and ask blessings on the same person. This clearly shows state of confusion which(I'm assuming) is the cause of such blatant disrespect for yourself and others on this board. I think you really need to think before you speak. Back in the dark ages after we walked up hill both ways barefoot in the snow to the practice spot we just had to commit it to memory on the spot. *shrugs* |

I must say that I can actually see your point. The title of thread, however, is a bit misleading. I also assumed at first that you were saying that the young ladies in the video can't possibly be real AKAs. You posted the link with no explanation of what your intention was for posting it, so it left too much room for people to make assumptions about why you posted it. At any rate, I also see things on youtube, FaceBook, etc that are posted by younger members of the D9 that make me shake my head. However, there's nothing I can do about it unless it's someone I know. I personally advised an undergrad brother in my city to remove something he posted on his FaceBook page and out of respect he did. That should have been stated. Without such statements, it will be taken as it was given. Dah well.......We all have people that don't live up to "what's right" whether its on the internet or in person. Either way people will still make mistakes such as the video tomorrow and the next day and the next. FYI...I will take up for 'mines'. |
