...how does the extremely embarassing jackets, prove that a person was made? verus "other"? Looking at some of the travesties (sp) makes me think the opposite of a person being made. Because of the off the wall things that they put on it. Yeah, for us, it would look like it would be the opposite but that is not what folks think now a days. If you have see one member of a line for an org. with their line jacket sayingl MADEorade and then another person who crossed with them their line name says Paper Weight, I mean it's not that all to tell. Not just jackets. I came across an org's website that listed an entire line's name which pretty blatantly said a X number on line and x number "pledged." Which always baffles me about you greeks... no matter where you go folks are always yelling at other people on message boards, FB, etc for not being discrete. But isn't this a lack of discretion too? Does the need to be discrete go away the moment you cross? Do y'all get a pass? *looks around for Damie and 91 to see if this post was good enough to make the e-quality cut  * |

Then there's the ever so popular "process" in quotes to indicate I have to say process cause my org doesn't pledge, but "you know what I mean" *finger point snick snick* That's not really "discrete" either. I'm just saying...

Is it quality? Well it was better than your creatine-laced posts in the Game Sections. And um... "you greeks?". You painting with kind of a wide brush aren't you? We are not a monolith. We have weyward bretheren and sisteren too - that doesn't change what we advocate (even if some of our own don't do it). LOL. Well I only said "you greeks" because "us GDIs" don't have to have that issue, not because it applies to all greeks. When was the last time a GDI newbie joined the board and said "Ay yo! I have not heard a single greek on this board not promote discretion as muy importante… no matter what board you go on whenever a random aspirant pops up and says “Hi I’m and XYZ aspirant” no matter what follows the response almost always “Um, discretion please,” “got discretion?” “what happened to discretion? SMDH.” And you can pretend that this isn’t the case, but we’ll have to agree to disagree on that one.

Yes, you’re right. Aspirants do that crazy stuff all the time. But we don’t have line jackets to prove it. PLUS, not for nothing the whole discretion phenomenon is not our rule; it’s yours. So it makes more sense that we wouldn’t have it.
