Mosley looked good rounds 1 and 2, but then...
What in the heck happened?

I wanted to see a more closely matched fight. It was like Mosley was completely out of steam after round 2. When I realized that he stood no chance by like round 7/8 or so, I wanted to see a knock out.
Mosley just looked soooo tired and worn out. Mayweather could very well have knocked him out if he really wanted to. Still undefeated...man.
Now I need Pacquiao to take that damn blood and urine test already. Give us SOMETHING to watch!

Mosley either over trained or he had a withdrawal from not having his roids and EPO. He did rock Mayweather in the second round though twice. Mayweather won the fight hands down but he never really hurt Shane like shane Hurt him.

Money Mayweather looked good! I was anticipating to see a good fight but....

Mosely looked tight and tenative all fight... he had slow predictable head movement, wasn't sharp with his punches, had no jab (actually most people say he didn't have a good jab anyway but it was apparent in this fight) and mentally he checked out by the end of the 4th round. You could literally see it in his face.
Maybe it just clicked to him that, "damn this dude really is that much faster than me".
Except for the 2nd round the fight simply wasn't close. Mayweather was just too freakin fast... and granted Mosely is 38 and hopefully on the verge of retiring - but he didn't have anything for Mayweather when Mayweather boxed. I'm sure Pacquiao's camp watched this fight and saw the punch that caught Floyd. Maybe they'll take that drug test now.

Yeah Mosley couldn't adjust to his speed. Now we see why he ducked him 12 years ago in 1998. Funny thing is Zab Judah had a better showing against Mayweather than Mosley did and he also rocked him early on. Zab got a knock down but the ref called it a slip as well. Zab was faster than Mayweather so being smart they went to Zab's body slowed him down then beat him up. Even Larry Merchant was like where is Mosley's left hook to the body? I think Shane over trained. He was already training for a fight in Jan then when the Mayweather Pacman fight fell through he jumps on that and trains some more to fight in May. So this dude probably trained for atleast 9 months. Thats to much.
Here is Judah vs Mayweather highlights. Watch how he beats Mayweather to the punch severalll times in the beginning until Money started going to that body.

I actually think it would have been a better fight 12 years ago. Mosely has visibly slowed down. Still has decent power, but the speed just isn't there. Zab was doing better against Mayweather because as you pointed out, he also had good speed and was counter punching a dude who is more comfortable being a counter puncher.
And while Larry Merchant appears to incrementally losing his scruples on everything else, he was right about Shane's non-existent left hook to the body. It made a special guest appearance like maybe 5 or 6 times total during the whole fight. The ring side commentators also suggested that Mosely probably fatigued from training for the Berto fight and then jumping right back in the gym for this one.
Anyone think Shane's fighting for the pay days at this point?

Shane is too damn slow. He should stop while he's ahead

6 years ago, that second round punch would have taken Mayweather down. Maybe not out but definately down.
Mosley is old. Cognitive function slows down by fractions of seconds and that's just enough to keep a boxer from being successful. I think Mosley's plan was to knock him out early. It was the only real chance he had.
Pacquiao is much younger, much quicker, can punch on the move and in any direction, and he can take a punch....he could take Mayweather.
