ok, i will. Question. When you save, did you save it as the target or as the image/picture. because you should choose "Save Target As" and then choose the EA Games Sims 2 Downloads folder.

ok, found an easier way
right-click the download button/link
Do you want to save, open, or cancel?
Save
Save where?
Documents> EA Games > TheSims2 > Downloads
Click save. It's now in your files. Now extract it. If it is a rar file, I've found that many of those don't work.

download. Ok, i've downloaded all this stuff, extracted from zip file and everything, and it still isn't working. I'm done trying for tonight.

lol. ok, let's see.
1) the things you downloaded, did you check to see if they are compatible with the expansion packs you have?
2) did you enable custom content?
3)when you get to the neighborhood screen, hit ctrl+shift+c this brings up the cheat box. Type in " BoolProp testingCheatsEnabled true " (just like that, minus the quotation marks). Make sure you do it exactly like that. The capital letters and spaces are vital to the code.
4) If you downloaded clothes, they will be in the build-a-sim area
5) if you downloaded objects, they will be in the "buy mode" section
6) if you downloaded walls/floors/terrain, they will be in the "build mode" area
7) if you downloaded properties, then after you unzip the file, go into the folder and double click the file name. A box will pop up telling you to install it into the game. Once you do, you will be able to access it from the neighborhood screen.

ok, the hair. I've found that on a lot of those "free download" sites, the hair doesn't work unless you have the "mesh" from a different site. a couple of the (best) ones that already have all that included are www.lianasims2.net and www.xmsims.comthe actual ea games sims2 site has good downloads sometimes, too. |
