Shaunie seems mad bitter. I think she should have waited awhile to do the show. Her bias shows clearly. Evelyn--(blonde) has a shoe store that she created based on the money she got from the ex. That does not equal her "on own" to me. Yes she runs it and maintians it and deserves credit for it's success. However, I don't like not giving praise to those who financed it if you are not paying them back. Just my opinion. For the record I feel the same about Kimora. I don't care who tries to stab me in the process. lol I watch, but honestly I think all the women are pathetic. They call themselves helping Royce out ---and that's she's lucky in the crew? Crew of what bitter biatches? SigH. Gloria ---I would like her---but she knows her sister was being trife. My thing is you don't have to go against your sister, but you don't have to lie either. To me she is covering it up and condoning it. She thinks she's better than the rest of the, but her man looks shady as hayle. But whatever. Let her do her. They keep calling other ladies hoes, groupies...etc But really they once were in their shoes. They made a "come up" now they want to look down. tsk tsk. But I'll still watch ...'cause it's interesting.  I agree. |

Royce has been acting stupid throughout the show so far. She is naive and acts like a little girl. Something doesn't seem right about the way she is so easily manipulated by the other girls. IDK.
And the rest of them are groupies. I thought it was funny when what's her name went up to the white girl talking about "I just want to let you know I am the wife"....GTFOH
Still interesting to watch. HeHe

Shaunie executive produces but isn't really on the show. The Miami Heat banned all it's players' wives' so they took what they could get.
@ Juice...you think that was a good fight? Man they were fighting like....well.........girls. They both should have seen how they were being played by the other 3. It was way obvious at least to me.

Ok, if the show was done in better taste, I do not think it would be a bad idea. However, its focus is really on the trashy side of the NBA wives/jump-offs/ex-fiance's, and nothing about success.
I had the chance to see episode 3 last night and I think 4 (whichever is the one with the faux boxing.). Nothing about doing any good for the community, nothing about starting their own business, just mega, trashy, drama.
I am waiting on who will do a show on NFL wives, and hopefully they will take a note about what not to do.

I've watched every episode. She's there in every one. She's not being followed or documented, but she puts her imput every time---kinda like a narrator. There her bitterness leaks out in my opinion. @ nsync I don't think she plays a huge role. I almost forgot she was even involved...shes occasionally there |

They need a new producer. This is not the way actual wives in the professional sports industry act as a whole. You got that right, Southie.... I know a basketball wife and a football wife personally and both of those women do NOT act like that. They have respectable careers and make their own $$- And they certainly don't throw it in your face everytime you see them. As for my opinion about the show, out of all of them I think Royce is the most authentic... yes, she is very naive and acts like a young punk but what do you expect from a 24 yr old? And as for Jennifer and Evelyn trying to act like they are her "peoples"- give me a break. Them tramps are selfish and are trying to quasi- stunt for the camera. The episdoe when Jennifer approached the puerto rican chick (groupie) @ Ocho Cinco's party was TOTALLY uncalled for. I wish some woman would come up to me @ a party and try to approach me about her husband (who she admits has cheated on her). Hell he prob. denies being married to that woman! Clearly your husband has no respect for you (this is evident by the way he talks to her) or your marriage? I wish they would get a grip. Bottom line- if your man is in a profession where is not only popular but successfull (making that $) their are consequences that are applied. I'm not saying that you should know your man is going to cheat on you because he is a basketball/football star BUT if his track record proves such, you need to 1) stack your $ for a moment so you can have your "f-you" and get out of the relationship and do you or 2) put up with the nonsense and shut the f up.  (sorry for the rant- I just hate it when minority women get up on TV and act a damn fool). |

Exalt especially for the comment about Royce. I think she's 29 though. However, this show may get a second season. They may get more support later with a stronger group of women. However Shaunie wanted these drama stories. This is apart of her revenge plot. This is what we are left with. I do think these women's stories should be told. I think their perspective is valid also. I just hate that they keep looking down on dancers and other women calling them the enemy and groupies...when they know good and well they came from similar circles to get where they are now...Unhappyville. I think the only wife on the show (Jackie?) can do way better than her lame behind husband and way better than that circle. She seems to have a little class. She just needs to let go. Shaunie is jaded by her experiences. Do you here her comments? She even mentions it when Gloria comments that things are going well with her man...and that some relationships don't feel fit into the stereotypical baller life. Shaunie commented "She has a alot to learn"
Come on...you supposed to be the biased voice on the show.
I have like Shaunie since I saw their Cribs episode back in the day. LOL But really she seems bitter. Which honestly it's to be expected if she felt disrespected. I just think she should have waited.

So I watched the newest episode. I am starting to like Royce more and more as the episodes pass.

Royce was on the Wendy Williams show on Tuesday- she couldn't say too much because her "baby daddy" placed a gag order on that mouth of hers; if she even SPEAKS his name she gotta come off some $$ with the quickness. I think it's 6 figures or something crazy... but she did confirm that he does pay child support.

So this NBA wives thing is like a little clique of some sort...some poor attempt to hang on to status..so it seems.
I am sure there are many classy wives. However, it just seems like a constant...
Im a wife...you are nothing. Im in the league you are not. Ex fiancee...ex girlfriend...fiancee...dancer...baby mama cat claw show down.
They all need to do more. Seems like next week folks are gonna get put in place.
Shaunie really can't stand Gloria. I know there's more to that backdrop story now than meets the eye.

The idea is actually good, its just needs more of a "class act" appeal. Everyone is unhappy and complaining the majority of the time. They seemed to glorify the fact that they are "baby mama's" , which is really baffling.

I was talking to someone about this show and mentioned that Shawnie seems to be angry and bitter. Also, that she is taking out her frustration on the silly women.
The other person feels that Shawnis is not bitter and that she is too happy to be getting "paid".
