Please provide your definition and answer the question honestly...according to the way you have behaved in the past, present or would behave in the future.

I'm cool with you on everything ABOVE ground.
I don't know if i picked the right choice. But i don't treat paper members no different then made members. If your cool peoples your cool peoples but i won't talk to you about underground Greek like. They aren't privy to that information.
That's me tho.

My answer is, "I treat you no different, as long as you ain't fronting like you're not paper. And please understand that just because you may have been hazed doesn't mean you actually pledged. So again, don't front, and it's all good."

I treat all greeks the way I prefer to be treated. If I don't like a soror/greek I ignore him/her and I expect him/her to do to same to me. I thing greeks are paper when they can't name my founders or their founders without tripping or worst can tell me how a national program becomes a national program. I think members are paper when their high point in the fraternity/sorority is being online and then they are initiated in April and inactive/unfinancial the following July. I think members are paper when they haze the hell out of their pledges to prove they might be beat up looking, raggedy, small and paying folks to rush their organiation, but they can take an a$$ beating better than anyone else. I think greeks are paper when they don't work and my motto is "it you don't have time to work with me, I don't have time to play with you." These greeks are b#tches to me and that's why I'll continue to have thousands of sorors, and only a hand full of sisters.

I was called paper once by a brother from a single letter chapter. It was funny. We were drinking Makers Mark at the bar at a convention and the topic came up. He asked where I pledged and when I told him he scoffed and said, "So you one of those paper grad bruhs, huh? That''s cool though."
It didn't hurt my feelings. I didn't want to cry. I didn't feel less of an Alpha.
I grinned, took a sip and said that I have no regrets about how I came into the frat. Then I said that it will be "paper grad bruhs" like me who will run the frat absolutely in the next 10 years.
He reluctantly agreed. We drank more Mark and started looking at the hookers in the lobby. No biggie either way.
I agree with Comedy's assesment. I would also like to add that paper is all those cats that "pledged hard" and yet ran away when the frat wasn't doing what they liked. You pledged right? It was supposed to teach you to overcome adversity, right? You were supposed to be a better leader, right?
Yet, when things didn't go your way....most just bitch up and go inactive. Paper? Yeah, its the paper frat that's keeping the organization alive.

Hmmm..it’s a lot more views than responses on here. What’s up people? Don’t be scared. LOL
Log – I’ll just describe what I personally view as an “on-paper process” more so than a paper individual. Because honestly, I don’t hardly think a dude’s worth as a man or as contributing member can be judged solely by whether he pledged or not – That would be silly.
An aspirant may have met the qualifications, got the sponsors, aced the interviews, tests, got the votes, had the funds clear their account, and have gone through the rits. This man is now a member. However, at no time was this member’s limits, persistence, fortitude, knowledge of history or application of certain principles truly tested under duress outside of their comfort zone while they pursued. Membership was granted and based strictly on the specified “on- paper” requirements. Now, depending on who you talk to, some Greeks won’t think any of that should matter regarding BGLO membership. Others will. Life goes on. Now, how would I treat a member who came through a strictly "on- paper process" ? Easy. I would treat him with the decency and respect that I would any black man that reciprocates respect toward me. In a “fraternal” sense, No, we may not have the same bond that I have with a Bro that shared my experiences, and endured similar hardships in humility in our quest to become Alpha men. So certain aspects of our “fraternal” relationship will indeed stay above ground. However, that’s neither here nor there, because as a man, he should be able to stand on his own whether he pledged or not. If the member is being true to himself, keeping it 100, and adding value to the Org through his membership – we are fine.

Disclaimer: This is my rant and is not directed at anyone on this board..
As far I am concerned, the person or persons who declare their process is more than the legal MIP process is not a part of my organization. I don't have any respect for him or her. It tells me that you are willing to break the law and disrespect the rules of the org. I don't care anything about how "hard" you came in and how much pressure you can endure. If you don't respect me for coming in legally, I sure a s hell don't respect your illegal process. Your beautiful Crossing jacket with the name DEADLY MISSIONZ printed on the back says a whole lot about you and your hypocritical beliefs. Who are you to decide that my process deserves less respect than yours?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...I ain't givin' two schits how you pledged or about your damned "process." If you aren't contributing to what I and the other ACTIVE and DEDICATED brothers of Alpha are trying to do in our communities...keepdafuk away from me with your rants about "paper" and "realness." Okay? * This announcement is not directed toward anyone on this forum...simply my personal sentiments. That is all.

It sooooooooooo interesting that no one voted for I'll show you no respect and in fact I'll disrespect you. I know in So Cal I have a lot of sorors who do this, yet they will lie to your face. I think if you're bout it enough to do it, please be bout it enough to stand up for what you believe.
Recently, I went to an informational for some undergrads and I told those who were interested that if they were about shyt to leave. It they didn't want to work...leave. It they wanted a jacket...leave. If they wanted to step and stroll...leave. And damn it to shame they lost like 3 people. So then I get this email about what not to say to interest and so I responded I'd rather be honest than to bring in people who are going to make me look bad. Sorry for the rant, but this poll made me think of just how two faced some people really are.

Never worried too much about other people's processes. It was all about their actions after that effected my opinion of their membership. I'll be quicker to use the term "Shirt Wearer" than "Paper" any day.
