No need to watch the video. Question? If there were no laws against child molestation, how would you all feel about then? Kill him, castrate him, mutilate him, stone him, what? ? Identifying an act as illegal does not lead people to feel disdain for the conduct. Its the disdain for the conduct that create laws... If there were no laws there would be more vigilante justice going on...we would find lots of child molesters floating in rivers...head down... It answers not the question. If raping your own flesh and blood infant were legal, would all of these comments remain the same? I did not say have no laws. Too bad Pep, if it's legal, nothing could be done except to try and make it illegal. au contraire Denounced, I did answer your question...you asked if there were no laws would we feel the same...I am saying the presence or absence of a law does not dictate how we feel about a specific conduct! I THEN said that if there were no laws people would take things into their own hands...in other words, our comments would remain the same.

It is difficult to believe that such a thing is truly humanly possible, so I'll continue to hope that it isn't (true) and withold comment until more details are available.

Damie, my dad refused to believe this story. He said if its true it would be NATIONAL news...I am beginning to accept his theory.

I can understand where you father is coming from (even though I wouldn't use national coverage as a barometer, for example when little white girls missing there's massive searches, when little black girls missing - not so much). I just remember the types of comments I was reading on Huffpost when 4 black men where accused of gang raping a student and then she later recanted her story - and alot of those lynch mob posters looked really stupid.
I'm not saying the dude is innocent, I'm just saying my reticence to condemn combined with my last flickering hope for humanity forces me to hope this didn't happen as reported. That's all.

It's not a matter of how people feel. I doubt anyone has bought MAAFA 21. Until slavery was abolished, slavery was perfectly legal. So it was okay, right?
PEP- You are on the right track, but I am waiting for some of these other people to chime in. I might have to put a "dare" up in here. Anyway, I think the whole state of the black community is just plain sorry. I fell sorry for the ignorant ones. Point is most of them have Masters and Ph.D.'s...........

You kno, everyone can sit here and say that they wwould do this and that, but in a situation like that, God alone knows what I would do. I can't even phantom the idea of that happening to a child so small, much less if that child was mine. I pray that the family is able to heal from this, and that the baby is no where affected mentally, physically, or even emotionally. Since this happened to her at such a tender young age, would you tell her about this experience when she gets older???

^^^ It is likely there is some internal damage. Heck adult rape victims sometimes have internal damage so image a developing infant. If this is the case, eventually she would have to be told. I don't believe in lying to children about what is going on with their own bodies.

If it were legal, irregardless of how heinous it is, how would yo view what he did through a "legal" lens?
