I kinda just happened upon it. Watched my father coach until it was time for us to play. In hindsight I wished he would've coached us too.

I would love to keep coaching but I'm trying to further myself scholastically and also get my kids involved in sports. Football takes up alot of time. So last year was probably my last for awhile if not ever.

Upsides are the kids’ period. Downside is the parents who try to live vicariously through the kids and other coaches who hate on you.

For instance there is a kid coming up through the program I coach at. Mind you I'm the most successful black head coach ever in this program. Arbutus AA is the oldest youth football program in the nation. My team this year was supposed to be stacked but...I had 4 12 y.o. who were at weight (145) taken to 11-13 and then a QB who stayed down at 9-11. The 9-11 coach told his father that he would be better suited to playing 9-11.

In the end his son ended up playing in a run oriented scheme and his confidence waned as they put in positions to throw only when they had to and he would get picked off alot. Should played for Coach VP and it would've been different

I really don't know maybe because I havent watched ant of the build up. Usually you get involved in the hype...watch all the highlights and it kinda influences your decision of who will win. Especially if your team didn't make it. I would've loved a Jvill Jags vs NYG ship but it didnt happen. If the Giants can get pressure on Brady then they will win. If not they will get blown the fuck out.
