Wow... as season finales go that was kind of like the writer's version of premature ejaculation.
Maryann's demise - anti-climatic in a way that seems to defy description. Eggs demise? Are the writers serious? This is how they write him off? That was just plain lazy.
The good parts, greater insight into the fact that the oldest and the strongest vampires are not necessarily royalty or in charge - and the conspiracy against Bill Compton by the Queen and Eric might make for a new storyline. Expect a wedge between Sookie and Tara now based on what Jason did

Can someone please explain the point of the Queen? That ish is still stupid as hayle. It was a weak send off but at least I don't feel like I'm missing something until the next season starts. I can hardly wait for Big Love and Nip/Tuck to start up again.

They're still developing her character 91. One might question why they'd even bother when they're being this lazy in writing people off. The Queen will probably get hit by a train or something stupid as the next Season Finale.

D, that is NOT character development. She does present some interesting possibilities now knowing she's the V pusher but the yahtzee thing? My patience with them is thin already and she's not helping.

Well no, they've already revealed that she is not particularly old or strong - but yet somehow she is royalty. Remember when she said to Eric that he was the oldest and the strongest Vampire in her Queendom but she could still have his fangs?
They're at least alluding to the Vampire structure. That might be kind of interesting. To find out who is in charge and why.

Okay.... How did I know they were gonna do the bride symbolism with the God marrying "her". Book of revelations anyone? The chit really just trailed off big time after that. So lets get this right you have a town of crazy people for like the last three weeks doing all types of chit and you see Egg's with a knife after everything has died down and you shoot him in the head? THATS two seasons in a row one of us has died in the end... WHAT THE fuck! No Roger no Re-run No Rent up in this piece. damn Shame

The Queen will probably get hit by a train or something stupid as the next Season Finale. I think the most interesting thing about the Queen scenes was Sookie's cousin. She asked how Sookie was doing, and even seemed more "vocal" than the other bloodbag. Maybe it's just me but she doesn't seem minor, or at least IF the Queen gets more showtime she'd have to be involved more also.

YEAH!!!!!
ALFRE WOODARD TO TASTE 'TRUE BLOOD': Actress signs on for a guest role.
*Alfre Woodard is booking jobs left and right.
After her CBS drama was cancelled last month, the Emmy-winning actress was quickly cast in TNT's upcoming dramedy pilot "Delta Blues" in a co-starring role opposite Jason Lee.
This week, Woodard was announced as the latest guest star on HBO's vampire drama "True Blood," according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The star will play the mother of Lafayette Reynolds (Nelsan Ellis), the cook at Merlotte's who got busted for selling vampire blood and held captive and tortured by Eric (Alexander Skarsgard). Since Lafayette and Tara (Rutina Wesley) are cousins, it means that Sookie's best friend would be getting a visit from her aunt.

Yeah I heard the same Reign. I've only watched one mini and it was kinda funny. lol It took me forever to read through this thread, because I wanted to see everything you all said. I was reading here day in and day out on my phone. lol Finally... Well we've all been waiting...I not as long as you all. I watched both seasons back to back twice online probably in Jan or Feb of this year. The important thing to remember is the series is based on a series of books. So, the folks/plot lines derived straight from the books are interesting. The folks/plotlines that are not suck major booty---thus resulting in the limp ending. Marianne--maened was in the books but SO insignificantly. The name wasn't even Marianne. The fact that they dragged that ish out over 15 episodes(yes I looked it up because it pained me so to watch that ish) sapped the life out of the show. Anyhow, that's over with now. The new season should be really good. I don't want to spoil, but I believe they plan to follow the books still. If they do...a few surprises. Oh...and I think it's good they brought Lafayette back in season two. They knew he was one of the characters that kept folks in. He died early on in the book series. CANT WAIT YAYAYAY!

Yeah after season two I ended up reading all the books and made me understand things a lot more.... Season 3 is going to be books 3 and 4 combined which is going to be insane!!! I like both the book and the tv show they give alternate versions... as long as they keep the series close to the book i'm satisfied. Yeah I heard the same Reign. I've only watched one mini and it was kinda funny. lol It took me forever to read through this thread, because I wanted to see everything you all said.
