LOL @ EPUN!!
I wouldn't call it "gayness" as much as it's more FOOLISH-NESS than anything!
Greeks gon' wild! No wonder some of these people so openly discuss ritualistic secrets and other 'in house" business of our orgs on internet message boards!
Umph....umph.....umph!!!

No wonder so many old heads don't recognize their orgs anymore...I'm sure it's pretty confusing to see a member of the opposite sex wearing your letters LOL What in the Pan-Hel...

It's gayness. Reaks of homosexualism. Some of these "men" are a lil too souped when wearing sorority letters and doing sorority strolls/skits. Either they put alot of effort into it or it comes very naturally. Either way its sus.

The foolishness of the women wearing frat letters ,is equally as foolish as the men wearing sorority letters. Fools one and all!! Here a fool, there a fool...ev'rywhur a fool-fool!!!

I believe this is a sign of the times. I think they think it is ok because technically a woman can't be apart of the D9 frats and vice versa. BUT, since it is the sign of the times of men openingly wanting to be apart of sororities, etc., etc. there is no way I would let anyone who is not an AKA wear my letters, period. Even if this went on when I was in school (which it didn't, thank God) I wouldn't have participated, and neither would have my chapter. MAtter of fact, I don't think any of the greeks would have participated.
I can see right now as I typed this para being snatched and fights popping off all over the campus.
Switch day or not. I think they think it's cute and no harm no foul, but it is not cute and there is harm and foul.

O.k I misread the thread title. I thought this was in reference to "turnabout". In "Turnabout" you do not wear other orgs letters for colors, you wear the org that you are pledging letters for twenty four hours, and then get the opportunity to switch places with members. At midnight, things go back to "business as usual". This mess right here reps pure ignorance!!! I think turnabout is stupid too.

I would let you! I think that's why I say it still feels a little awkward.. maybe the colors and not the symbols would be better lmaooooooooooooooooooooooo why me? lol Thats why I said......as much as a love some people in other orgs, they will never wear braKA's nalia! AMEN!!!!!

I made a comment on some of the pictures on facebook and basically, they all said it was to promote unity in the NPHC. I don't see how wearing someone else's letters promotes unity.

[blue] Oracle06, I think swap day stupid. My husband and I have been married for 23 years. We are quite unified and we don't even talk about wearing each others para. His black/gold is his and my blue is mine.[/blue] You don't get respect just by switching colors.
