Man... Troopa... When Collins stumbled, it looked exactly like the play that OSU ran when Lucas hit the gw 3 to beat St. Joes to goto the Final Four in 04....
Ku also ran that same play at the end against OSU earlier this year, but Chalmers gave it up to Rush who missed the 3. Kinda ironic the last loss of the season was to OSU, and the next loss will be to OSU....lol

Hmmmmm.
Lucky shot. okay
Everything comes back to Pressure. Memphis missed 5 at the strip went it counted. What happens to pipes when they are under a lot of pressure? They Bust.

THEY WON THE MOST GAMES IN THE SEASON!!! ? ONLY TO COME ALL THE WAY TO THE GRITTY AND LOSE??!!! THE PLAYED LIKE BEASTSESESIS.. THIS IS WHAT MEMPHIS NEEDED TO OVERTURN ALL THE GLOOM THAT LINGERS OVER THE CITY DUE TO THE MLK STUFF!!! I MEAN WE STILL LOVE THE TIGERS BUT damn!!! I AM PROUD OF EM, BUT COME ON!! THEY HAD IT AND LOST IT!!! THEY HAD IT. OMG THEY HAD IT. AND LOST IT...... TO KU?? WTF. PLEASE! ok - i am done. But just know that Memphis is hurting right now...you should see the people i work with right now. Its like someone we knew just died. Its very sad.

Love college basketball enough to have enjoyed a great championship game.
Don't care about it enough that I lost any sleep. Memphis should have fouled just after Kansas got across the court.
Met a frat from Upsilon Chapter (Kansas U.) who was here on TDY about a year ago....he's probably smiling to the back of his head right about now!

People always said free throw shooting would be Memphis's downfall...and it was. They really lost this game more than Kansas won it. Very true...so true. Calipari was so arrogant to believe that free-throw shooting wouldn't be a detriment to winning that after winning the Elite 8 game, he stated that his players would make the "free throws that were neccesary to win the big games under pressure situations".... Allow me to digress for a moment... How in HELL did basketball change sooooo much that a team can be ranked most of the year at the top, but still shoot under 50% at the FT line? WTF has happended to this sport? So going forward, it looks as it the FT pied piper paid a visit to Calipari and his team of exceptional, but non-free throw makin' muthafuckin athletes. They missed 15 FT's!... Deep down, I rooted for Memphis b/c I felt the NCAA hates anything that's reminiscent of the 1990 UNLV team, and I loved that team and still feel like they got raw deal...anyway, America loves Kansas and their clean cut image, so the win was appropriate, in a matter of speaking...But Cold hit the nail on the head, Memphis got in their own way and Kansas had the talent, fortune and resources to capitalize... In a way, it also proved that fundamentals, like FT throw shooting, will help win ball games...arrogance and pride to the contrary, will let you down exceptionally.....

I always thought it was amazing when he said "We will make them when it counts." Uh, how do you figure? If you can't make free throws in the regular season, you REALLY think you're going to make them down the stretch of a championship game??

If you can't make free throws in the regular season, you REALLY think you're going to make them down the stretch of a championship game?? LOL...exactly Cold. I was like, wow!, he said what? I was in a house full of high school basketball coaches when he made that comment, and three guys predicted he would lose the championship game to free throws amd mental mistakes JUST b/c of that comment.... How fucking prophetic is that?...LOL! I fucking LOVE IT!..Cold, I swear on a fine and cold refreshingly brewed Sam Adams that I picked Kansas to go all the way, but I wanted Memphis to win soooo bad, but was so afraid that FT would define the game...

He had shoulders square, feet underneath, facing the basket....couldn't ask for more poise under that type of circumstance. I mean, really, this is why these guys play big time D1 college basketball. These situations are commonplace for them.

I called Kansas to win it all in my bracket....didn't mean I was rooting for them, though. I was really pulling for Memphis b/c I knew the NCAA hates anybody that reminds them of UNLV/'90.... Fvcking Calipari and his FT chalant...
