Yall, he has his reproductive organs...which means he has a uterus and a vagina...he does NOT have a penis...he was taking shots to grow facial hair...and he had reconstructive surgery to remove his breasts...

Yes its disturbing, but let's call it for what it really is and that is a woman. Now, if this was truly a born male, and they somehow figured out a way to get a "real man" pregnant, like implanting a uterous and fallopean tubes, ovaries, etc. Then, I could understand the hype regarding the story.

I got you...so what if he had gotten a penis construct and kept his uterus? I think the hype isn't necessarily that it's not really a man, but that someone who chose to become another gender is trying to do what he shouldn't be able to. In that case he should have just stayed a woman. That totally defeats the purpose of feeling like he was a man from the beginning. IMO, he needs psychological help lol

Tom Foolery to the nth degree. If she is legally a man with no man parts, does that mean she goes into the men's bathroom or men's locker room? She's the one giving birth, but if they divorce, does the other woman automatically get custody since she is legally a woman and the actual biological mother is a legal man.

Granted "Thomas" is not a man by any stretch of the imagination. Even in his interview with Oprah I did not hear him/her say unequivocably that he wants to be a man. He seemed to not have had the best life as a female and on a whim considered what else is there. I thought that people who undergo sex changes are supposed to be able to pass a battery of psychological testing and since this person seems to be ambivalent about the change-hence the decision to keep all female organs/genatalia and not bear any male genatalia (she has an enlarged clitoris serving as a penis), how the hell was she able to pass the psychological testing to proceed with the legal change? Also her past seems to clearly indicate unresolved grief issues regarding her mother's suicide as the very least of her mental issues and compromise to her mental functioning. I got the sense that there are other mental issues for both him and his wife.
I think the issue that needs to be considered most is the poor child who is to be born to what is being publicly and for all intensive purposes deemed a man. The whole situation is being publized as a freak show for shock value and this kid will not be able to escape the stigma of being the person born to a man for their entire life. Even when asked how they (the parents) plan to deal with the aftermath of going public, neither of them had an answer and now you two are to provide a life for this child. Many people have children for their own selfish reasons and are by no means ready or even willing to make the sacrifice of yourself that comes with being a parent but aside from having considered the child outside of their own selfish reasons it is insane and very unfortunate for the child that neither of them are able to fully consider the ill effects of having gone public with the terms under which this child is being born.
This is very sad and my heart aches for the unborn baby...
