Omar is the first Homo-Thug in TV history..IRL he's from "The Veer" (apts here in the Flatbush section of BK. They seem to love daylight shootouts)

I'm sad I never watched this show. I hear its so good. I just got the firs season on DVD. But since its going off, I'm wondering if I should bother.

Its funny picking out the characters from the Wire in real life. Like Clay Davis being Elijah Cummings, Mayor Royce being former Mayor Kurt Schmoke, Carcetti being Former Mayor now Governor O'Malley, Nerese Campbell being former Mayor Sheila Dixon. I mean the wire played out the politics of Bmore in some ways on screen before it even happened. Especially with Carcetti setting up Campbell to be Mayor and O'malley did it in real life for Dixon after the Wire was finished. Can't believe we used to throw parties by the Towers when this foolishness was actually happening.
