Good point, Bigs. Aces, I heard about Obama's tactics in the Chi, but he's not going that route now.
Annnnnnnnnd, if FL and MI hadn't ucked up, Hillary would have won both states. The Clintons are very much as high as one can go on the Democratic party hierarchy.
Remember, Obama did not win CA, OH, PA or TX (FL or MI for this argument's sake) against Hillary. Whoever can win the majority of the big states is going to be prez. If Obama were The Man in the Democratic party, he would have won more of the big states.

Obama essentially has the mandate of the people, both party insiders and the electorate. He's the party boss. If Obama has the mandate of the people then why wasn't his nomination wrapped up in March like McCain's. Hell McCain almost switched parties in the last 5 years, and half his party doesn't care for him at all. I'm not being negative, its just not as easily cut and dried as we want it to be. fuck I gotta go to a meeting...... I will finish this with you later Aces...

If Obama were The Man in the Democratic party, he would have won more of the big states. It was a democratic primary. He most assuredly will win CA and PA. When's the last time either of these states went red in the same year? zactly. both states are Democratic strongholds. My gut says he'll pick up MI and it'll be close in OH. In the GE, Obama will more than likely turn states that were red in past elections, blue - wyoming, colorado, New mexico. That's his appeal. And that is something that hillary was NOT able to do......

Do you believe John Kerry was party boss? Hell no. They may the face the party puts forth..... but nowhere near the boss. Kerry didn't put up the numbers vis a vis voters and voter turn out that Obama has. Obama essentially has the mandate of the people, both party insiders and the electorate. He's the party boss. There is talk of a new voter registration drive a la John Kennedy. He won because of that. I have never seen so many politically involved and savvy young black people in all my life! It could very well work.

After supertuesday, it was effectively wrapped up. Hillary has been playin' catch up, modify the rules and playing Karl Rove "ball" ever since.....and it still ain't help her. The only reason this thing has gone on as long as it has is because of the perception of the Clinton brand - never retreat, never surrender, die hard, etc. Everybody and they momma saw this thing as being over. But the Clinton brand, and to a certain extent, gender has kept this thing going for as long as it has....please believe, if Hillary was a man named Smith, the shit would've been over shortly after super tuesday.....

If Obama was so powerful as the DNC boss..... then this farce wouldn't have continued. You have lots of democrats who truly aren't sold on Obama... its that simple.
