Did anybody see this? I went over the holiday weekend and sadly I have to report that it was very dissapointing.
I had no problem with Indy's older age in the movie. However:
- The storyline was horrible
- There was just way to much CGI used
- There was way too many plot holes
-And worst of all, you had to excercise some SERIOUS suspension of disbelief. Mind you, there are scenes in all of the previous Indy movies that are over the top.....But this was was so unbelievably over the top and unrealistic that even some kids in the theatre were saying "that could never happen"...It almost takes you completly out of the movie.
So after waiting 19 years for this movie to be made...I was greatly dissapointed.
The old movie franchises were on a roll for a minute there and were cranking out some quality films (Terminator 3, Live Free or Die Hard, Rocky Balboa, Rambo 4...) But this new Indiana Jones flick almost devalues the whole series somewhat....well maybe not...but it's pretty bad though
