Truth be told, I live in the same neighborhood as the tentative, future, President of the U.S. Which is really funny, because we still have a few well known crack heads on the street, three murders in our neighborhood...the U of C PHD student, and the two women that were burned and thrown in a trash can behind an elementary school. So, I am wondering if Security will be more evident once he gets in the White House. In regards to Michelle, she is going through a serious image change, and I do not like the way its going. The talk of the town, is that they (stylist) are attemping to get her more "refined" and I did not have a problem with her original image.
Like I said, since I am in the neighborhood, I will stop the house and have a coversation with Michelle.

She seems like a regular sista supporting her husband. I like the fact that Newsweek highlighted her low-key way of going about business. She's NOT the overbearing, militant angry black woman we're all supposed to be.
She has to be confident! She's from the South Side of Chicago and she graduated from two of the most prestigious schools in the nation and her husband is even more credentialed! A brother like Obama is not going after the ditzy plastered Becky they'd like to see.
People are talking about her image needing to be changed (her style now is a little on the 60s side and people are making fun of her).
I want to see what the makeover will look like.

I went to buy this issue, but it was sold out...even in the non-negro parts of town.

In my opinion she has calmed down her approach in terms of campaign style. I though she was alot more vocal, when he was running for the Senate. And, the local media outlets were not too happy or supportive of his position. <<Jesse Jr. is still not completely happy with Obama, even though he has provided some support publicly, behind the scenes he is not completely in his camp.

I love Michelle, too. I REALLY like seeing her, Barack and the girls together as a family. I can't WAIT until they get into the White House! ;D I hope the girls adjust well. I can say I've noticed a difference with her hair. It's looking more Condoleeza Rice-ish, which I HATE. I liked her original hairstyle (and image). Anyway, I bought this issue. I am also trying to find the new Ebony with Barack on the cover.

I want this issue. I wish I had bought the Vibe with Barack on it.
I didn't even know he was on Ebony.
I would like to see them on a mag together, maybe even with the girls. I loved that black and white Christmas card they made.
