Bar Owner Posts Sign With "N-Word" To Keep Gang Members Out A Texas bar owner, who is African American, is under fire for posting a sign outside his Fort Worth business that has the n-word in big, red letters. He says he wants to keep gang members away from his bar. Several people in the area want the sign to come down, because they say it is offensive. The sign reads, "No Gangbanging allowed at Pop's Place, my n-----. Save the Children, my n-----." The owner of the bar, who goes by "Pops," says he can only keep the sign up for thirty days, then he will have to take it down. Well last I checked the 1st amendment doesn't cover fighting words or things that would incite a riot ie yelling Fire in a crowded room. People may have a right to say it but it doesn't mean its right. There is a difference Water....but you knew that.  |
