this is so sad. you should not have to go to school and fear that this stuff will happen. there was a shooting at UTK a few weeks ago.
I heard after the first few shots the students dropped to the ground. that's kind of good to hear. I just really feel for college kids in these situations.

This is scary. I'm going to an HBCU where it's safe! Girl not any safer, lol. In my first year at Fisk there was a car jacking where someone was shooting and then the guys wrecked the car, we saw a drug bust, and a guy got robbed in his dorm room. At TSU someone local teenagers shot the chinese food delivery man outside of a girls dorm, there have been lots of stolen and broken into cars, someone threw an egg at my car during finals (azzholes ), and a guy got robbed in his dorm room.

I didn't know there was shooting at Louisiana Tech too Three Dead After Shooting at Louisiana Technical CollegeFebruary 08, 2008 01:09 PM ET | Alison Go | Permanent Link A woman shot and killed two female students and then herself in classroom at Louisiana Technical College, a vocational school in Baton Rouge, the Associated Press reports. Around 20 students were in the second-floor room during the shooting, which occurred about 8:30 a.m. Friday. "About 8:36 a.m., we began receiving multiple phone calls from inside Louisiana Technical College...multiple calls from cellphones, saying shots were being fired, people had been shot." Police were there within four minutes and ran into the building. "There was mass pandemonium, people running. One officer—the first into the classroom—told me he could still smell gunpowder." Students were instructed to stay in their classrooms for about two hours before being released, one student said. There are no details on the women’s names or ages or what course was being taught at the time. The school has provided on-site counselors and cancelled class for the remainder of the day.
