I'm curious. What are YOUR opinions/potential concerns about this possibility ?? I am excited about having her as a first lady. I think she is a tremendous asset to Obama. She is so smart and she really makes you believe in him as an ethical and trustworthy man. She is a large part of the reason I support Obama. I just think they make an awesome team. They seem to really care about making a change in the way the country is run. I don't get the feeling that they are in it for personal gain.

To answere K1911's question... oh I think she would be a most EXCELLENT first lady - I am GREATLY hoping and anticipating that it would be so. I SO much want the image of a graceful stately Queen being broadcast out to the ends of the earth.
I want black men and black boys to see that greatness (true greatness) most often comes when you have a great woman to help you get there.
I want black women and black girls to see that you can be a wife AND still have a star-studded career. You don't have to pick one you CAN have both.
I want the world to see a black family unit. Am I looking forward to Michelle Obama as first lady? Absolutely. I can't wait.

Michelle Obama is Claire Huxtable - except she is real. She will be an icon for generations. Having lost Betty Shabazz and Coretta Scott King, we could use a new vanguard of icons.

Yeah, Damie, you summed up my feelings PERFECTLY. I *LOVE* to see the Obamas together as a family. I can't *WAIT* to have them in the White House! Like they say in church, let's name it and claim it!

I think Michelle Obama will be a great first lady. I think the two of them will show so many young people that we can do any dayum thing we want and will work for. What an awesome role model!!

The Prez of my alumni association said that his daughter and her friends are excited about having a sleepover at the White House!
That's so cute! Our little black girls can now be excited about the prospect of playing with the daughters of a president who could easily be one of their classmates!
Go Obama!

Her hair is no worse than that helmet Condoleeza Rice used to call a hair style. Michelle will hook it up.
Man Law Infaction to Ensue: Don't expect her to be getting a roller set, but she'll do something stylish and memorable that will make all women (but especially black women) proud.
<---= refuses to answer any questions on how he knows what a roller set is <---= says he is diverse and he listens in on women's conversations for clues e'r now and then
