I love the concept of this show. People who are shy as all get out can actually have their voices heard, no pressure, by leading artists in the industry? Where do I sign up? lol

I'll definitely watch. I like the concept and the judges talent and the variety of backgrounds. I'm glad that Idol added Steven Tyler because he's an actual performer, but I was disppaointed at going from no talent Paula Abdul (where all that made it to Hollywood could sing better than her) to so-so talented J-Lo. I get that they can determine the "it factor" but it would have been nice to get a female judge on the show that could actually sing, rap or whatever.

seems like a cool concept but we know at the end of the day, Susan Boyle is an anomaly. Looks matter in record sales. did you know that Christopher Cross, who is a homely dude, was the #1 selling artist for the 3 years prior to MTV's launch and then suddenly was unseated by Duran Duran? Many have attributed the demis of his music career to the fact that"video killed the radio star".
Again, cool concept with a very interesting judging panel. I'm more curious to see how X-Factor does though.

I looove this show! The male judges on the show are hilarious! Christina is just Christina! I still love her tho. But yeah, the concept of this show is extremely overdue.

Watched and was impressed. What was sad to me is that you have folks like Tarrlyn and Frenchie who've been on these types of shows for years and still not gotten that big break. They're talented but for whatever reason haven't broken through. takes a lot of heart to be in that business.
Loved the judged though I felt a lil sad for Adam as early on, he didn't have anyone pick him.

I saw part of it. I missed the beginning because I was watching Idol and then we had tornado warnings popping in and interrupting so I did't see all of it. I thought it was good. Even though I love the crazies that Idol highlights, it was good to see that everyone could at least carry a tune before making it to the show. It took me a while to understand the whole concept. But I think I like it and will keep watching. I said it before and will say it again, I like how all the judges a) represent a variety of styles in the music industry and b) have actually made it individually or in a band and c) can actually sing (sorry Paula).

I caught the show last night and I really liked it. From the previews the battle round looks like it's gonna be bananas. I can't believe I'm actually anxious for a television show to come on again. TV has been such a disappointment to me lately.

it's a great show. I can tell from Twitter that Ceelo is still hurting from having to choose between Nikki and Vicci. Those chicks SANG that song.

I'm a little confused at the first pairings. It seems that Christina and CLo paired their strongest competitors against each other rather than letting them pick off weaker ones. It seems wrong that Tarralyn was the first to go when there are weaker singers still on Christina's team and booting Taylor over other dude seemed like a wrong call..
Still digging the show though. Not sure what the guest coaches are adding but I'll continue to roll with them.

Well they couldn't have put the stronger ones against the weaker ones because it wouldn't have been a battle! The show would be boring and ratings would drop.

OK all the teams are set. Let the open voting begin. Most of the singers left are good but there's no way all of them should have been the last 8 standing. I do like this format better than AI though.

I think some of the battles will be interesting. I don't think the ultimate winner will be commercially successful though.
